What makes a local market expert?! I am currently taking a class by Josh Flagg and his number one recommendation is:

Know Your Market! This couldn’t be more true because how many times have you been asked what the market is doing when someone finds out you are a Real Estate Agent? So, you need to know your market, how the current dynamics are impacting prices, understand the lifestyle choices in the neighborhood as well as what it is like to live there. It’s equally as important to know if it’s a sellers market or a buyers market. I have several folks who asked me if another market crash was coming because home prices are going down and homes are on the market longer. What’s happening in our Flagstaff Marketplace is the sellers know they have the upper hand in the market, but buyers are not willing to pay the higher prices for a home that is dated or not move in ready!

Know Your Community! Make sure you know what’s going on in your neighborhoods and stay “plugged in” to where to get the best breakfast burrito, cup of coffee, etc and your customers will come back and ask for your help time and time again as well as send referrals your way.
