A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words…but…

Real Estate listings offer an important first impression, especially when selling upscale homes, but that doesn’t mean quality photographs aren’t necessary for lower priced homes.

In doing real estate now for nearly 20 years, it never ceases to amaze me why agents don’t take the care in their presentations when listing properties. In this month’s contest, I decided that pictures are what really “rub me the wrong way” as a picture truly is what sells properties – residential or commercial.

Yesterday, an obviously busy agent put one picture on the MLS and it was sideways! How is that working in the best interest of the client? What’s sad is the seller has no way of knowing that the agent has presented their home or business this way.

In my recent GRI classes, I learned that 98% of Home Buyers think real estate photography is the most important consideration when searching for a property. With stats like that, it is more important than ever to take the time to make your listings SHINE!

Here’s a couple of examples of pictures by seasoned real estate agents who are “keeping it real” and showing the properties as they really are! Of course, one of them is still active and not under contract and I think we can see why!
