As you know, I always like to share information I learn and yesterday’s office meeting with a Real Estate Attorney was very informative.
He let us know about an agent who did phenominal videos and posted them to his website and after the properties were sold, the agent would take down the video from his website, but it remained on YouTube.
Months later, folks were calling about the awesome properties featured in these YouTube Videos only to learn they had sold months earlier!!
Unfortunately, the agent was found to be liable for NOT following up with the videos and changing their status to SOLD. I don’t know about you, but I had no idea about this!
Another gal at our office meeting asked if this pertained to Zillow and the attorney told us that if YOU have control over the STATUS of YOUR listings, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the information is correct and up to date.
