Existing-home sales fell 0.7% in 2024 from the prior year to 4.06 million. That is down from more than 6 million in 2021….and 7.08 million in 2005. The national median existing-home price in December was $404,400, down from the record high of $426,900 reached in June. Nationally, there were 1.15 million homes for sale or under contract at the end of December, down 13.5% from November but…..up 16.2% from December 2023.
